    Health Minister Orders Action After Ragging Incident in Khammam Medical College

    Hyderabad: Health Minister C Damodar Raja Narasimha expressed strong anger over a recent ragging incident at Khammam Government Medical College. He instructed officials to take immediate action against those responsible for the incident.

    The Minister shared his disappointment with the ongoing ragging issues in medical colleges. He urged students not to ruin their futures by participating in ragging. On Sunday, he held a teleconference with top officials to discuss the matter, particularly the incident where a first-year student’s head was forcibly shaved by senior students.

    Raja Narasimha directed officials to conduct a thorough investigation and ensure that the culprits are punished promptly. He emphasized the need to prevent such incidents from happening again in the future.

    The Minister suggested that colleges should raise awareness about the harmful effects of ragging. He stressed the importance of organizing awareness programs in all colleges and asked for the involvement of the police department in these efforts.

    In his message to students, the Minister advised senior students to be friendly with their juniors and not to use ragging to intimidate them. He also urged higher authorities to ensure that ragging does not negatively impact the future of any student.
