Hyderabad: The State government has allocated Rs 11,468 crore to the Medical and Health department. This move aims to provide timely, effective, and quality health services to everyone.

The Deputy Chief Minister stated that the current medical system is not meeting people’s needs and has been neglected for a long time. He mentioned that the previous government failed to pay timely salaries to doctors, nurses, and other employees. Even Osmania Hospital has been neglected. Despite claiming to have established new medical colleges, the previous government did not provide the necessary resources and facilities.

“Our government has cleared all pending salaries and assures timely payments in the future to ensure the system works smoothly. We will complete the construction of super specialty hospitals, other hospitals, nursing colleges, and medical colleges. We have approved the necessary staff for the new medical colleges. We also hired 6,956 nurses as soon as our government was formed,” said Deputy Chief Minister Vikramarka.

To make health services accessible to all, the government is introducing digital health profile cards with unique identification numbers. This digital approach will consolidate a citizen’s health information in one place, making diagnosis and treatment easier and quicker. Dental, eye, ENT, mental health care, and related examinations will be made available to the public gradually.
