The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) is requesting a change in the schedule for the ODI World Cup 2023. The match between Netherlands and New Zealand is scheduled to take place on October 9 at the Rajiv Gandhi Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad. However, the HCA has informed the BCCI that it is not possible to hold matches on consecutive days.

Last week, the ICC made 9 changes to the ODI World Cup schedule. Out of the 45 matches in the league stage, three will be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. One of the crucial matches is between Pakistan and India on October 14.

Due to the change in the schedule, matches had to be held on consecutive days at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium. The police have expressed security concerns about providing security for the Pakistan match. They stated that it would be difficult to provide security for the Pakistani cricketers and would require appointing 3,000 policemen at their hotels.

In light of these concerns, the HCA has requested the BCCI to make changes in the schedule to allow for a break between matches.
