The Telangana High Court has criticized the state government and school education officials for not following its orders regarding the appointment of certain teacher candidates.
On February 3, the court had directed the government to issue contractual appointment orders to 1,382 candidates who were unsuccessful in the DSC-2008 teacher recruitment exam. This order was given in response to petitions filed by Pathuri Uma Maheshwar and others.
However, the government failed to comply with the court’s directive by the February 10 deadline. Due to this, the High Court expressed its displeasure on Monday and decided to postpone the case hearing to February 17. The government must now submit a report proving that it has followed the court’s orders.
