    Former minister T Harish Rao has stated that he will always support the people, regardless of which government is in power.

    In a media interaction at the Assembly Media Pointer, Harish Rao criticized the new government for not fulfilling their promises regarding farmer welfare and rice procurement. He questioned why the promised amount of Rs. 15,000 under the Rythu Bandhu scheme, which the Congress had pledged to provide on December 9, has not been disbursed yet. He demanded a clear timeline for when this will be implemented.

    Harish Rao also challenged the government to fulfill their election promise of purchasing paddy with a bonus of Rs 500. He questioned their inaction and demanded a specific date for when these purchases will begin. He also called on the government to provide support to farmers whose paddy crops were damaged by the recent Michaung cyclone, emphasizing the urgent need for assistance to alleviate their suffering.

    In other news, BRS MLAs paid tribute to the martyrs at the Martyrs Stupa in Gunpark in the city.

    The BRS Legislature Party (BRSLP) meeting took place at Telangana Bhavan on Saturday morning. The newly-elected MLAs, including Harish Rao, Kadiam Srihari, Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, and Malla Reddy attended the meeting. During the meeting, party chief KCR was elected as the leader of BRSLP. Afterward, they proceeded to the assembly meeting. Before entering the Assembly premises, BRS party MLAs paid tribute at the Martyrs’ Stupa. They raised slogans of Jai Telangana and Johar to honor the martyrs of Telangana. Later, the MLAs arrived at the Legislative Assembly. The resolution stating that KCR has been elected as the leader of BRSLP will be presented to the Speaker and Legislature Secretary.
