    Former Minister and senior BRS MLA T Harish Rao was arrested by the police on Tuesday at the residence of BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy in Kondapur. After his arrest, he was taken to the Gachibowli police station.

    On Thursday morning, Harish Rao went to visit Kaushik Reddy, who was facing charges for allegedly obstructing police duties. These charges had been filed at the Banjara Hills police station on Wednesday. However, a heavy police presence at Kaushik Reddy’s home prevented Harish Rao from meeting him.

    When the police escorted him out, Harish Rao got into a heated argument with the officers. Shortly after, he was arrested. Supporters of the BRS party, who were accompanying Harish Rao, tried to block the police vehicle but failed. They shouted slogans against the State government, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, and the police. The supporters accused them of using politics as a tool for revenge.

    The situation escalated after Kaushik Reddy visited the Banjara Hills police station earlier to file a complaint against the Chief Minister. He claimed his phone was being tapped. However, a confrontation broke out when the Station House Officer reportedly tried to leave without accepting the complaint. Following this argument, the police filed a case against Kaushik Reddy, accusing him of obstructing the officer from performing his duty.
