Hyderabad: Finance Minister T Harish Rao criticized the 42-page Congress manifesto, calling it a 420 manifesto that cannot be implemented. He stated that the Congress knows it cannot win, so it is making guarantees that cannot be fulfilled. Rao also mentioned the power shortage issue in Karnataka and accused the Congress of including 24-hour power supply in their manifesto out of fear. He questioned whether the Congress was implementing their promises in Congress-ruled states and claimed that the BRS party had already implemented half of their promises. Addressing allegations of excessive loans by BJP leaders, Rao stated that Eatala Rajender was the one who had signed for the loans.
The finance minister’s remarks came as he criticized the Congress manifesto, which he referred to as a 420 manifesto that cannot be implemented. He expressed doubts about the credibility of the Congress’ promises, claiming that they lack the ability to carry them out. He specifically mentioned the power shortage issue in Karnataka and accused the Congress of including 24-hour power supply in their manifesto as a tactic to avoid backlash from the people.
Rao also questioned whether the Congress was able to implement their promises in Congress-ruled states. He claimed that his party, BRS, had already implemented half of their promises through initiatives like ‘Rythu Bandhu’, ‘Kalyana Lakshmi’, and distribution of sheep. He further alleged that the Congress had copied their manifesto.
In response to allegations of excessive loans by BJP leaders, Rao shifted the blame to Eatala Rajender, stating that Rajender was the one who had signed for the loans. He highlighted Rajender’s previous position as Health Minister for two years.
