Senior BRS MLA T Harish Rao expressed concern on Tuesday about approximately seven lakh students who were unable to apply for the DSC due to the recent non-conduction of the TET examination. He urged Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to promptly conduct the TET exam to provide justice to these aspiring candidates.
In an open letter to the CM, Harish Rao mentioned that the Telangana State government had released the DSC notification for teacher appointments in government schools. However, due to the lack of a recent TET exam, around seven lakh DD and BD students could not apply for the DSC. Additionally, almost 50,000 people who completed DEd and BEd courses in December were affected because only those who passed the TET are eligible for DSC applications.
The BRS government conducted a TET in September last year, but no exam has been held since the formation of the Congress government. Harish Rao emphasized that more than seven lakh aspirants were eagerly waiting for the TET exam to be able to apply for the DSC.
He stressed the importance of conducting the TET exam alongside the DSC notification to ensure that students and unemployed individuals do not miss out on opportunities.
