Gadwal: A young athlete from Telangana has made a mark on the national stage. K. Hari Krishna, hailing from Tandrapadu village in Jogulamba Gadwal district, secured first place in the under-19 national athletics competition held in Uttar Pradesh. The event saw participation from athletes representing 28 states across the country. Rajasthan’s V. Sharma Singh earned the second position in the competition.
The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, honored the winners with national-level merit certificates, a national sports ID card, and a sponsorship of ₹2 lakh for free training. This recognition celebrates their hard work and exceptional talent in athletics.
Tandrapadu Sudhakar Goud, a local TDP leader, expressed his pride in Hari Krishna’s achievement. He said, “Hari Krishna, born into a humble family, has brought great recognition to our village at the national level. We are proud to call him a son of Tandrapadu.”
