    Hare Krishna Movement Organizes Heritage Fest Prize Distribution in Hyderabad

    The Hare Krishna Movement in Hyderabad hosted the Hare Krishna International Heritage Fest prize distribution ceremony on Sunday at Ravindra Bharathi. The event was organized by Sumedhasa, the cultural wing of the movement, which focuses on promoting intelligence and knowledge through cultural activities.

    The annual Hare Krishna International Heritage Fest celebrates India’s diverse culture and rich traditions. According to officials, the festival also serves as a platform to promote the teachings of Vedic knowledge and ethical values championed by the Hare Krishna Movement.

    This year, the fest saw overwhelming participation, with around 23,000 students from over 250 schools in Hyderabad taking part. The students competed in a variety of contests over several months, progressing through qualifying rounds, quarter-finals, semi-finals, and final rounds.

    The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Burra Venkatesham, chairman of the Telangana State Public Service Commission. The event highlighted the efforts of young participants and celebrated their achievements.

    Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa, president of the Hare Krishna Movement and regional president of the Akshaya Patra Foundation for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, praised the enthusiasm of the students. He noted that the fest helped children build self-confidence, develop leadership skills, and embrace teamwork, creativity, and moral and cultural values.

    He further emphasized, “The Heritage Fest is not just a series of cultural contests; it is a cherished event that bridges cultural gaps and promotes holistic development in a world dominated by technological advancements and fast-paced lifestyles.”
