In a statement on Monday, Commissioner Jha urged residents to wrap up their New Year celebrations by 12:30 a.m. on December 31 (Tuesday). He informed that various police teams, including civil, traffic, task force, crime, and SHE teams, along with patrol officers, would carry out extensive patrolling throughout the night.

Organizers of New Year events have been instructed to obtain prior permission from the police for any cultural programs. The commissioner emphasized that obscene dances or the use of intoxicating substances would not be allowed. Violations of these rules would result in strict action. Additionally, event organizers are required to install CCTV cameras and deploy sufficient security personnel at celebration venues. They must also ensure that the events do not disturb residents in nearby areas.

Similarly, action will be taken against those speeding or causing disturbances on the roads. To enforce these rules, extensive drunk driving checks will be conducted across Hanamkonda, Kazipet, Warangal tri-cities, and rural areas.

Commissioner Jha encouraged the public to report any violations or disturbances by dialing 100, assuring that the police would take immediate and strict action. Lastly, he urged everyone to celebrate the New Year happily and safely with their families at home.
