The state government of Hyderabad has decided to improve the public transport system due to the city’s rapid growth and expansion. Minister K T Rama Rao announced a proposed metro rail corridor that will cost around Rs 60,000 crore and cover more than 101 km between the international airport and Kandukur around ORR. The government also plans to develop the Hakimpet Air Force station as a second airport for civil aviation.

The cabinet of ministers ratified the names of D Sravan and K Satyanarayana as MLC candidates under the Governor’s quota. KTR expressed hope that Governor Tamilisai Soundarajan will approve their names without any political obstacles.

The rejected bills on Education, Panchayat Raj, and Municipal Administration by Governor Soundarajan will be reintroduced in the Assembly. KTR alleged that the Governor system is being exploited for political reasons.
