The Chairman of the State Legislative Council, Gutha Sukhender Reddy, has accused the Andhra Pradesh government of invading the Nagarjuna Sagar dam during the late hours of the night. This happened while the Telangana government was busy with the Assembly elections. Reddy expressed his concern over the AP police raiding 13 gates of the dam and destroying CCTV cameras. He believes that this action will create tension between the people of both states and accuses the AP government of doing it intentionally. The Krishna River Board had ordered the Andhra police to leave, but they continued to release water to Andhra Pradesh. Reddy claims that 5,000 cusecs of water were stolen by AP, which undermines the rights of the states and puts them in the control of the central government. He strongly condemns the behavior of the Andhra Pradesh government.
