Guru Nanak Institutions observed International Women’s Day with exuberant festivities, adopting the rallying cry of “Jayaho Janayitri” to honor the occasion. The event welcomed renowned cine actress Vaishnavi Chaitanya as the Chief Guest, who extended warm congratulations to the women staff and students on this significant day.
Accompanying the celebrations were esteemed personalities from the film industry, including the celebrated film producer Dil Raju, along with his daughter Hanshitha Reddy and son Harshith Reddy. Raju emphasized the need for societal attitudes towards women to evolve, even as other aspects of society change. He took the opportunity to launch a movie promotion under his banner, produced by his son and daughter, underscoring the importance of women’s contributions to the entertainment industry.
Adding to the star-studded affair, popular movie hero Ashish Reddy extended his heartfelt congratulations on Women’s Day. Vice Chairman of the Institutions, Gagandeep Singh Kohli, expressed gratitude to the celebrities for gracing the event as chief guests, emphasizing the pivotal role women play in shaping society.
In his address, Kohli invoked the ancient adage “Yatra Naryastu Pujyanthe Ramante Tatra Deva,” signifying the significance of worshipping women as a pathway to divine presence. He reiterated that women’s equality is not just an integral part of societal structure but also a catalyst for progress, echoing the sentiment echoed by the United Nations, which annually commemorates International Women’s Day under the same banner.
Managing Director HS Saini highlighted the remarkable strides women have made in various fields, from education and medicine to business and technology. He praised their resilience and dedication, noting their indispensable role in both household management and national defense.
