    Defending champions Gujarat Titans defeated Punjab Kings by six wickets in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 on Thursday. Punjab Kings scored 153 for eight while Gujarat Titans reached the target with a ball to spare, thanks to Shubman Gill’s 49-ball 67. Earlier, Matthew Short top-scored for Punjab Kings with a 24-ball 36. Sam Curran and M Shahrukh Khan played some big shots towards the end to take Punjab Kings past the 150-run mark.

    For Gujarat Titans, debutant Mohit Sharma, Rashid Khan, Alzarri Joseph, Mohammed Shami, and Josh Little picked up the wickets. Besides Gill, Wriddhiman Saha made a 19-ball 30 for Gujarat Titans.

    Both Gujarat Titans and Punjab Kings have four points each and are placed at fourth and sixth spots respectively in the points table.
