GRIHA Council to Hold Regional Conclave on August 30

Hyderabad: The Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment (GRIHA) council is organizing a regional conclave on August 30, 2024. The event will take place in Hyderabad.

Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu will attend the conclave, which will focus on the theme ‘Accelerating Climate Action in the Built Environment.’ The event is being supported by Ela Green Buildings & Infrastructure Consultants Pvt Ltd as the knowledge partner and ASAI as the event partner.

The conclave in Hyderabad follows the success of a similar event held in Lucknow. This is part of a broader initiative aimed at promoting sustainability and the concept of green buildings across India. The regional events are leading up to the 16th GRIHA summit, scheduled to take place in New Delhi on December 4 and 5, 2024.

The Hyderabad conclave will serve as a platform for discussing the critical connection between communities and organizations in building inclusive and climate-resilient infrastructure. Conversations will focus on reducing carbon emissions in the built environment by 2050 and working towards India’s goal of becoming a ‘net zero’ nation by 2070.

Aligned with India’s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat @ 2047,’ the conclave will also address various aspects of development, including economic growth, social progress, environmental sustainability, and good governance. The event aims to encourage dialogue on strategies for creating sustainable infrastructure.
