A delegation from the PGA, which is based in Frisco, Texas, met with Minister Sridhar Babu on Saturday at the Secretariat. During the meeting, they discussed plans to create golf courses, residential complexes, hotels, and entertainment facilities. The minister mentioned that the project would move forward if the Telangana government supports it.

The minister also shared that PGA is already working on a similar project in Mumbai with Shapoorji Pallonji. Stone Craft, the local partner, has agreed to invest a significant amount in the Telangana Golf City project.

Once the Golf City is completed, it is expected to create jobs for 10,000 people over the next 10 years. Minister Sridhar Babu highlighted that this aligns with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s vision for the “Fourth City,” which aims to be a net-zero city with no pollution.

The companies involved plan to increase green spaces in the area, making it a more pleasant place to live. According to their presentation, they are committed to tripling the green areas.

The PGA group will develop an 18-hole golf course spread across nearly 200 acres. This will be the first golf course of its kind in South India. The project will also improve the region’s natural Deccan rocks and water resources using the Miyawaki method to grow forests.
