The Congress party MLAs in Telangana said that the Governor’s speech in the Assembly reflected the ongoing development in the state.
Government whip Aadi Srinivas criticized the BRS leaders for interrupting the Governor’s speech. He accused them of making unnecessary remarks while speaking. He also pointed out that when the BRS was in power, decisions were made by just four members of a single family. Now, those same family members are making disruptive comments, he added. He urged the Leader of the Opposition to participate in the Assembly discussions.
Srinivas also responded to BRS leader KT Rama Rao’s remark that the ruling party leaders were not at the level of former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR). He suggested that KTR might have an agenda to stay in the media spotlight every day and that this could be the reason why KCR is not attending the Assembly.
Another Congress whip, Beerla Ailaiah, criticized the BRS for calling the caste survey “bogus.” He defended the survey, saying that over 1.3 lakh staff members had participated in it. He also pointed out that members of the Kalvakuntla family, who did not take part in the survey, were the ones questioning its validity.
Ailaiah further stated that the Congress government had waived loans for 25 lakh farmers, provided 200 units of free electricity to every household, and created 55,000 jobs. He accused the BRS of misleading the public and said that Telangana was leading in agriculture. He also announced that a fourth city would soon be developed in the state.
He urged BRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao to attend the Assembly and offer suggestions instead of relying on “pink media and social media” to mislead people. Ailaiah also alleged that the BJP and BRS were working together, as seen in the recent MLC elections.
MLA Rajender Reddy accused the BRS of avoiding debates on development and instead spreading false information on social media. He claimed that Warangal suffered under the BRS government due to a lack of development projects. He also criticized political parties for using caste, region, and religion to provoke people.
