BJP Accuses Government of False Claims in Assembly
Hyderabad: BJP leaders have accused the government of making the Governor present false claims in the Assembly.
Speaking to the media at the Assembly, BJP leader Payal Shankar said the government falsely claimed that it had completed the Rs 2 lakh loan waiver. However, many farmers are still struggling with high-interest rates and have not received the promised waiver.
Shankar also alleged that the government made the Governor say that women had become crorepatis. He challenged this claim, suggesting a visit to any village to verify the truth. He further stated that BJP leaders would oppose the Governor’s speech during the upcoming debate in the Assembly.
Another BJP leader, Dhanpal Suryanarayana, criticized the government for not fulfilling its promises. He pointed out that the government had promised Rs 15,000 per acre under the Rythu Bharosa scheme but provided only Rs 12,000. He also mentioned that under the Kalyana Lakshmi scheme, the government had promised one tola of gold, but no beneficiaries had received it.
BJP leader Rama Rao Patel added that the government had made 420 assurances and six major guarantees. Except for the free bus scheme, he claimed that none of the promises had been fulfilled. He assured that the BJP would highlight these issues during the discussion on the Governor’s speech.
