Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan spoke to media professionals from South Africa at a training program on ‘Journalism & Public Relations’ at MCRHRD institute. The program, sponsored by the Union Ministry of External Affairs, started on February 26 and will end on March 9.
She emphasized the important role journalists and public relations professionals play in shaping a country’s governance. They act as a bridge between the public and the government. Soundararajan stressed the need for journalists to continuously learn new skills to do their jobs effectively.
The Governor highlighted the importance of training to build confidence and achieve professional goals. She mentioned that the program would equip South African media professionals with the latest techniques in Print, Electronic, and Social Media as well as Public Relations. This training will help them become valuable assets for their country.
