The Lakshmi Barrage, which was constructed by L&T under the Kaleshwaram project, had pillars that sunk on October 21. The National Dam Safety Authority is unhappy with L&T for not providing details about the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project (KLIP). The authority has given the Telangana government until Sunday to submit the project details. They have specifically asked for information about the construction of the Medigadda Barrage. L&T has not yet given a clear reason for the sinking of the pillars and has been silent on the matter. This lack of information has raised doubts among the public and even the state government. The government will gather information from L&T and irrigation officials to provide details to the dam safety authority.
