    Nagar Kurnool:
MLC Kuchukulla Damodar Reddy inaugurated a new paddy procurement center in Lattupalli village, located in Bijnapally Mandal. He was joined by local leaders and officials for the event. During his speech, he promised farmers that payments for the paddy they sell would be credited to their accounts within 48 hours.

He also announced a special bonus of ₹500 for fine paddy starting this season. The support price has been set at ₹2,320 per quintal for A-grade paddy and ₹2,820 for fine paddy. He emphasized that the farmers’ welfare is a top priority for the current government.

MLC Damodar Reddy also talked about the past struggles of farmers. He recalled that when his party, the Congress, was in the opposition, they saw the challenges faced by farmers and took steps to help by establishing early procurement centers. He criticized the previous BRS government for exploiting farmers by taking 5-6 kilograms of paddy as waste deduction.

He assured farmers that the Congress-led government is committed to their well-being. He warned officials not to apply unfair deductions on paddy and urged for transparency in the procurement process. He also asked for advance notice when additional gunny bags are needed and stressed the importance of ensuring all necessary facilities at the procurement centers.
