    The Odisha government has asked universities in the state to support students from Manipur and make sure they don’t face any difficulties on campus. The Higher Education department has requested a report on Manipuri students in the universities, the issues they are facing due to the clashes in Manipur, and the actions being taken by the institutions to address their problems.

    The department has also asked the universities to take care of the basic needs of the Manipuri students, such as financial assistance and extending deadlines for fee submission. This request was made in response to letters from Manipur Governor Anusuiya Uikey and Manipur Chief Secretary Vineet Joshi.

    Uikey wrote to Odisha Governor Ganeshi Lal requesting cooperation to ensure that students from Manipur can continue their education without any difficulties. She expressed concern about their welfare and wanted to make sure they are not negatively affected during these challenging times.

    Joshi also wrote to the Odisha Higher Education Secretary stating that students from Manipur are unable to submit their online application forms due to the internet ban in Manipur. He requested that these students be allowed to submit their applications through post and asked for an extension of the application deadline.

    There are many students from Manipur studying various courses in colleges and universities in Odisha. A girl student pursuing management studies in a renowned institute mentioned that she is facing problems in receiving money from her home but is managing with help from her local friends.
