Students at Government High School in Addagutta, Marredpally, were very happy as they enjoyed a delicious breakfast on the first day of the CM’s Breakfast Scheme. They used to have difficulties coming to school without having breakfast, but they believe that this new initiative will encourage them to come to school regularly.

During the inaugural event, students enjoyed a variety of hot dishes specially prepared for the occasion. The menu included options like Idli with Sambar, Pongal, Rava Upma with chutney, Puri with Aloo Kurma, and Rava Kesari for dessert.

Parents also expressed relief. Sunitha, a mother of two girls, shared her thoughts, saying that it has been challenging for her to provide breakfast daily due to their busy schedule and financial constraints. She was overjoyed when she heard that the school would be serving breakfast starting next week. Sending her children to school gives her peace of mind, knowing that they will have both a nutritious breakfast and lunch.

Rohan, a class 8 student, said that he will make sure to come to school every day now. He used to come on an empty stomach, which made him feel hungry and unable to concentrate. Anil, a class 9 student, also expressed similar sentiments and said that he will no longer rely on street food. He is excited about having a proper breakfast before school and believes it will have a positive impact on his learning.

Sherya Rao, a class 5 student, praised the delicious breakfast served on the first day. She especially loved the Rava Kesari because they don’t often have it at home. She hopes they continue to receive high-quality food regularly. The headmaster of the school, M. Mohan Reddy, believes that the implementation of the CM’s breakfast scheme is a significant relief for the students. It will likely reduce dropout rates, especially for students from marginalized backgrounds who may not have access to nutritious food. He also mentioned that they have maintained strict hygiene standards during food preparation.
