Hyderabad: The Telangana government has shared a document that confirms the University of Hyderabad (HCU) gave 534.28 acres of land to the state back in 2004. The land transfer was made official through an agreement signed by the university’s Registrar at the time, Narasimhulu.
In return for this land, the state government gave the university land in Gopanpally village. The university received 191 acres in Survey Number 36 and 205 acres in Survey Number 37. This exchange was meant to support the university’s growth and help build new infrastructure.
This information comes at a time when there are rising concerns about how land is being used and who owns it. In the past, there have been disputes over claims that university land was being used illegally for roads or private buildings. Now that this document has been made public, it shows how important it is to have clear and open land agreements to avoid future problems.
