The State Government has started giving the Rythu Bandhu benefit to farmers from Monday. The Chief Minister, A Revanth Reddy, made the decision to deposit the money directly into the farmers’ bank accounts after a meeting with officials from the Finance and Agriculture departments. The Chief Minister also asked for a plan to be prepared for the implementation of the Rs 2 lakh loan waiver scheme. During the meeting, the Chief Minister reviewed the agriculture department and discussed the challenges faced by farmers. The Rythu Bandhu benefit will be given to small farmers with less than five acres first, and those with more than ten acres will receive the benefit based on the availability of funds. The Chief Minister also announced that the Praja Darbar will now be called Praja Vani and will be held every Tuesday and Friday from 10 am to 1 pm at Praja Bhavan. To address drug abuse, a full-time Director will be appointed to the Telangana State Anti-Narcotic Bureau and adequate funds will be provided to strengthen the bureau.
