On the first day of Praja Palana, a total of 746,414 applications were received. Out of these, 288,711 applications came from rural areas and 457,703 applications came from municipalities including GHMC.
Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari held a teleconference with District Collectors to review the management of the Praja Palana program. Municipal Administration Secretary D Kishor and Rural Development Secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania also attended the meeting.
During the teleconference, the Chief Secretary instructed district authorities to provide enough application forms for the Six Guarantees at every center. She also warned that strict action will be taken against anyone selling these application forms.
To accommodate the large number of people submitting forms, officials were asked to provide basic amenities like drinking water at the centers. It was suggested that one center should be opened for every 100 people. Additionally, special help desks will be set up to assist people in filling out the application forms, and a special number will be provided to applicants for updates on the status of their applications.
