    The state government of Hyderabad has extended its support to the family of Syed Saifuddin, a resident who was killed in a shooting on the Jaipur-Mumbai train on July 31. Saifuddin’s wife, Anjum Shaheen, has been appointed as an office subordinate in the Quli Qutub Shah Urban Development Authority (QQSUDA). Additionally, the government has sanctioned a 2BHK flat for the family.

    Minister K T Rama Rao, on behalf of the BRS party, has also provided an ex-gratia of Rs 6 lakh to the family. The plight of the family was brought to the attention of the House by AIMIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi in the Assembly. In response, KTR promised to help the family and personally handed over the appointment letter, a cheque for Rs 6 lakh, and an allotment order for a 2BHK flat in Jiyaguda to Anjum Shaheen on the Assembly premises. Home Minister Mahmood Ali and MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi were also present during this event.
