Nalgonda:
Minister for Roads, Buildings, and Cinematography, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, laid the foundation stone for the Young India Integrated Residential School in Gandham Vari Gudem, Nalgonda, on Friday. The school will be built at an estimated cost of Rs 300 crore and is expected to be completed within eight months.
During the foundation-laying ceremony, the Minister highlighted that these schools will provide top-quality education, similar to what children from wealthy families receive.
He emphasized that the government is dedicated to ensuring that students from economically weaker sections, including SC, ST, BC, and minority communities, have access to high-standard education. These schools will have all essential facilities, including sports infrastructure, to support students’ mental and physical development.
The Minister also mentioned that this initiative is part of a larger state project, costing Rs 5,000 crore, which aims to set up integrated residential schools across 28 constituencies in Telangana.
He encouraged parents from poorer backgrounds to enrol their children in these schools, which will offer instruction in both English and Telugu. The project is part of the government’s broader vision to uplift marginalized communities, with education seen as a key factor for improving individual lives and society as a whole.
The Nalgonda school will be built on 25 acres of land, and similar schools are planned for each constituency across the state.
