    During a monthly review meeting on progress in the Medical and Health department and the implementation of the Aarogyasri scheme, Health Minister T Harish Rao directed officials to process the filling of 1,442 assistant professor posts in teaching hospitals by the end of the month. The verification and other necessary processes have been completed, and the minister urged officials to take steps to declare the results.

    Minister Rao expressed his satisfaction with the increase in the number of cases under the Aarogyasri scheme. In comparison to the previous fiscal year (2021-22), the number of cases in 2022-23 has gradually increased. Under the director of health, the number has increased from 72,225 to 108,223, and under the Telangana Vaidya Vidhana Parishad (TVVP), it has increased from 66,153 to 99,744. With the initiation of Aarogyasri under the DPH, 14,965 cases were registered. Minister Rao complimented officials for achieving this goal.

    The minister also noted that with an increase in PG medical seats and the opening of new medical colleges, facilities have improved. The start of Aarogyasri services under the DPH will bring a qualitative change, and the efforts of AarogyaMitras, along with Aarogyasri staff, are appreciated. Minister Rao asked officials to ensure adequate stocks of medicines and regularly review the performance of wellness centers.
