Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy announced that the State government will hold a large event with students in Hyderabad on November 14. This event will be organized to celebrate the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. During the program, the Chief Minister is expected to make important announcements to improve the education system in the state. This could include the approval of a second phase of integrated residential schools in more Assembly constituencies.
On Wednesday, students from Mahatma Jyotiba Phule social welfare hostels, schools, and colleges in the Wyra and Madhira Assembly constituencies met the Chief Minister at the Secretariat. They expressed their gratitude to him for increasing the diet and cosmetic charges for students.
In his interaction with the students, Revanth Reddy explained that the government’s primary goal is to provide quality education. He mentioned that to support this goal, the diet and cosmetic charges were raised. Additionally, 21,000 teachers have been promoted, and 11,062 teaching positions were recently filled as part of efforts to strengthen the education system.
The Chief Minister encouraged students to contribute to building the nation. He shared that the government is constructing Young India Integrated Residential Schools for students from SC, ST, BC, and Minority communities in every constituency, with each school being built on 20 to 25 acres of land. These schools are expected to be ready by the next academic year. Additionally, the Young India Skills University has been established to provide skill training to students and help the unemployed. The government is also collaborating with the Tata Institute to turn ITIs (Industrial Training Institutes) into Advanced Training Centers (ATCs).
Revanth Reddy also stressed the importance of sports for students. He revealed that the government is setting up a Young India Sports University with the goal of winning medals in the next Olympics. Lastly, the Chief Minister urged students to report any drug or ganja-related activities by dialing 100, warning that drug addiction can ruin lives. He called on everyone to take social responsibility seriously.
