The new government has been in place for about two weeks, but government officials are already being irresponsible. In Nagarkurnool, people are facing difficulties because there are no officials available at the Prajavaani programme to listen to their grievances. This has led to protests demanding the presence of the District Collector.

The District Collector of Nagarkurnool, Uday Kumar, is supposed to hold public meetings every Monday. However, he was absent this week, leaving the locals disappointed. People who went to the Collector’s office hoping to lodge their complaints found empty chairs instead. This is not the first time this has happened, and it has left citizens frustrated with the lack of solutions to their problems.

The situation escalated when individuals from Guntakoduru village and Suraaram village voiced their grievances. They alleged that the District Collector was more focused on paperwork than on resolving land-related issues. They also claimed that the district administration has not taken any concrete steps to address their problems, despite receiving numerous petitions. The local authorities are being accused of evading responsibility, and the District Collector’s office is seen as a symbol of bureaucratic indifference.

Residents are questioning the purpose of conducting public meetings if their concerns are not being addressed. The absence of officials at crucial moments has sparked resentment and calls for immediate action and accountability.
