Uttam Kumar Reddy, who is from Nalgonda district and serves as the Minister of Irrigation, emphasized the importance of completing the Udaya Samudra Brahmana Vellamula Lift Irrigation Scheme canals. These canals provide irrigation to 100,000 acres. He also stressed the need to address the pending SLBC tunnel works, which were neglected by the previous government. The lack of maintenance has caused an increase in trees and silt in the canals. Repair work is necessary.
