    The state government of Hyderabad has decided to create the Pay Revision Commission (PRC) as there are rumors that the Election Commission may announce the election schedule soon. The PRC will be responsible for finalizing the pay scale increase for government employees. In the meantime, the government will provide interim relief of five percent to the employees. N Sivashankar, a retired IAS officer, has been appointed as the Chairman of the PRC, and B Ramaiah, another retired bureaucrat, will be a member. The Commission has been given six months to submit its report, and any decision on the recommendations will be made by the next government. The State Finance department will provide the necessary funds and staff for the functioning of the PRC.

    The PRC will engage in discussions with all employees’ unions and consider their suggestions for salary enhancement. Additionally, the Commission will review the demands for a salary increase put forth by the employees’ unions.
