Wanaparthy: P Chandrashekar Reddy, also known as Golla Babu, took his oath as the new chairman at the Kottakota municipal centre on Sunday. Several prominent leaders, including State Planning Board vice-chairman G Chinna Reddy, Devarakadra MLA G Madhusudhan Reddy, and Wanaparthy MLA Tudi Megha Reddy, congratulated him on this achievement.
During a meeting that followed, MLA G Madhusudhan Reddy (GMR) emphasized that positions in the party come as a result of hard work. He praised Golla Babu for his 40 years of dedication to the party, especially during difficult times, and highlighted that the party recognized his loyalty by appointing him to this position.
Dr Chinna Reddy, the State Planning Board vice-chairman, also spoke at the event. He assured that the government is committed to fulfilling its promises to the people. He criticized the previous administration for pushing the State into debt, accumulating 7 lakh crores. He explained that the current government is working hard to fix the damage caused by the previous regime.
He also mentioned that the government has set up rice procurement centres to help farmers before the harvest season and announced a bonus of Rs.500 for fine rice this season. While the government is focused on public welfare, Dr Chinna Reddy noted that some leaders from the BRS party are making false accusations. He expressed confidence that the people would respond appropriately to such baseless claims.
