The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has announced that it will provide over Rs 3 crore worth of aids and artificial limbs to disabled individuals in Hyderabad. The initiative is aimed at improving the quality of life for people with disabilities and ensuring that they have access to the necessary resources to live independently. The GHMC has partnered with various organizations and NGOs to distribute these aids and artificial limbs to those in need.

The GHMC has identified over 4,000 individuals who require assistance and will be providing them with a range of aids and artificial limbs, including wheelchairs, crutches, hearing aids, and prosthetic limbs. The distribution process will be carried out in a phased manner, with priority given to those who are most in need. The GHMC is also planning to conduct awareness campaigns to educate people about the importance of inclusivity and the need to create a more accessible environment for people with disabilities.
