The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has announced that they will soon be implementing the Road Reader project. This project, which was previously tested in Bengaluru by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), involves placing signs with QR codes on roads. By scanning these codes, people can access information about the road and the officials in charge of maintaining it. This includes the contact details of municipal officials and contractors responsible for the road, as well as information about other officials involved in road maintenance. The decision to implement the BBMP project in Hyderabad was made by Minister KT Rama Rao, and it is expected to be completed within 6 to 8 weeks with coordination from Mayor G Vijay Laxmi and other officials.
