He stated that the primary goal of Prajavani is to help people. The Commissioner also insisted that department heads (HODs) must attend the programme. Most of the complaints received, he noted, are related to the Town Planning Department, urging officials to take strong measures to control illegal constructions.

Ilambarithi directed officials to hold monthly review meetings with Deputy Commissioners (DCs), section officers, and town planning officers. He also instructed the Chief City Planner (CCP) to review other matters. Additionally, he emphasized that all complaints received during Prajavani should be properly recorded in the computer, sorted by department. The legal officer was asked to review ongoing court cases.
