Hyderabad: K Ilambarithi, the newly appointed Commissioner of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), has instructed officials to focus on illegal constructions in the city. He emphasized the need for special attention to this issue.

The Commissioner participated in the Prajavani programme at the GHMC head office on Monday. During the event, he assured citizens that their concerns would be addressed. Ilambarithi urged the authorities to take the initiative in solving public problems.

He stated that the primary goal of Prajavani is to help people. The Commissioner also insisted that department heads (HODs) must attend the programme. Most of the complaints received, he noted, are related to the Town Planning Department, urging officials to take strong measures to control illegal constructions.
