Vemula Veeresham, a prominent figure in Nalgonda district’s political landscape, was born in 1982 in Utukur village. He comes from the SC community and has a strong connection to his community’s struggles. Veeresham completed his schooling at ZPHS Madhavaram Kalan and then pursued his Intermediate education in Nakrekal. His involvement in the student organization PDSU during his school years set the stage for his political career.
After graduating from Dr BR Ambedkar Open University, Veeresham joined the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS). In the 2014 Telangana Assembly elections, he defeated the incumbent MLA and represented the Nakrekal Assembly constituency. Growing up in a poor family made Veeresham keenly aware of the challenges faced by the underprivileged, motivating him to focus on development projects.
Despite facing defeat in the 2018 elections, Veeresham continued his political journey by joining the Indian National Congress (INC). In the 2023 elections, he emerged victorious with a significant majority. Since then, Veeresham has been dedicated to advancing development activities in Nakrekal, with support from Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy.
Veeresham’s transition from TRS to INC showcases his resilience and dedication to serving his constituents. His journey highlights his commitment to the people of Nalgonda district, solidifying his position as a notable figure in local politics.
