    Germany’s Rhineland Expresses Strong Interest in Investing in the State

    Hyderabad: The German state of Rhineland has shown interest in investing and forming business partnerships in Telangana, according to Telangana’s Minister of IT and Industries, Duddilla Sridhar Babu. He shared this news on Thursday.

    A high-level delegation from Rhineland, led by Daniela Schmitt, the Minister for Economic Affairs, Transport, Agriculture, and Viniculture, met with Sridhar Babu at the Secretariat. Several other important figures were also present at the meeting, including Michaela Küchler, the Consul General of Germany in Chennai, and Amita Desai, the Honorary Consul of Germany in Hyderabad. They discussed possible collaborations in industries like chemicals, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, vaccines, packaging, poultry, agriculture, automobiles, and logistics.

    During the meeting, Sridhar Babu spoke about Telangana’s business-friendly atmosphere. He emphasized that the state is known for offering quick approvals for businesses, making it an attractive place for investors. He also mentioned Telangana’s effort to create top-notch systems for innovation, advanced manufacturing, and research, which further supports global investments.

    “There are many similarities between Rhineland and Telangana, and by working together, both regions can experience economic growth,” Sridhar Babu said. He also pointed out that Telangana is becoming a global center for life sciences and pharmaceutical industries, thanks to its skilled workers and modern infrastructure, which have caught the attention of international companies.

    Sridhar Babu invited the Rhineland delegation to attend BioAsia 2025, Telangana’s key event focused on life sciences. In return, the Rhineland delegation invited Sridhar Babu to visit their region to learn more about its economy and industries. Both sides also agreed to form a “Sister State” relationship between Telangana and Rhineland to encourage long-term cooperation in important sectors.
