In Nagar Kurnool, a special ward has been set up in the government general hospital due to the increasing heat wave, as ordered by the district collector. The ward was inspected by District Medical and Health Officer Dr K Sudhakar Lal and Superintendent Raghu.
Dr. Sudhakar Lal emphasized the importance of being cautious during high temperatures, advising people to avoid sunstroke and seek medical help if needed. He assured that primary health centers are equipped to handle sunburn symptoms, with a special ward of 20 beds set up in the district hospital for heat wave treatments.
In case of emergencies, ice packs are available for special treatment in 108 vehicles for transportation to the hospital. It is recommended that sunstroke victims utilize the services of 108 vehicles for prompt assistance.
The inspection at the hospital was attended by General Hospital Superintendent Raghu, Program Officer Dr. Sainath Reddy, and other hospital doctors.
