    The Chief Minister of Jaipur, Ashok Gehlot, has announced that all power subscribers – whether domestic or commercial – will receive 100 units of free electricity every month. In addition, consumers using up to 200 units of electricity will have permanent fees, fuel surcharges, and other fees waived. Those who use up to 100 units of electricity will not receive a bill for their usage at all.

    With this announcement, those who use 100 units or less will not have to pay anything for their power bill, while those who use up to 200 units will only have to pay Rs 503 instead of the current amount of Rs 1610. The subsidy is Rs 832 for those using up to 100 units and Rs 1,107 for those using up to 200 units.

    The Chief Minister made this announcement on Wednesday night after receiving feedback from the public and observing inflation relief camps. He stated that the first 100 units of electricity will be given free of cost to families who consume more than 100 units per month. Additionally, those who consume up to 200 units per month will receive the first 100 units of electricity for free, along with waived fixed charges, fuel surcharge, and all other charges paid by the state government. This decision was made with middle-class people in mind.
