Suryapet district police have discovered a ganja smuggling operation during a routine check near Ramapuram Crossroad in Kodad Mandal. Officials from the excise department seized 25 packets of ganja that were disguised as chocolates. The contraband was being prepared for illegal transportation.

According to authorities, the gang was smuggling the ganja from Bhubaneswar to Hyderabad. It is suspected that the drugs were intended to meet the demand for upcoming New Year celebrations. Six people, all from Odisha, have been arrested in connection with the case.
