    Minister G Kamalakar spoke at the TS Formation Day celebration in Karimnagar on Friday. He said that Telangana has become a model for the country in all fields within ten years. The Chief Minister’s fight for statehood was historic and led to the development of Telangana society with self-respect and self-reliance.

    The Minister said that Telangana is known for the Kaleshwaram project, which has irrigated crores of acres and made every farmer in Telangana happy. The state now has twenty-four hour electricity and flowing water in all the rivers.

    The government’s agricultural development measures have increased the area under cultivation to 6,37,885 acres during the 2022-23 monsoon and Yasangi. The Telangana government has completed pending projects like Kalvakurti, Bhima, Nettempadu, Koil Sagar, Ellampalli, Mid Manair, Devadadula, resulting in the development of 20 lakh acres of new ayacut.

    The government has also started procurement centers to buy every grain grown by farmers in the district. 2,13,777.226 metric tonnes of grain valued at Rs 440.38 crore was procured through procurement centers.

    The government is providing financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh to Dalit families, and Rs 1823 crore has been released till now to 18,231 SC families in Karimnagar district through Dalit Bandhu.
