A baby named Yasmin, who was born in Done town of Kurnool district, had a kidney tumor. Her family brought her to her grandmother’s house in Balanagar, where they then took her to Gandhi Hospital for treatment. The head of the Pediatric Surgery Department, Professor K. Nagarjuna, examined her and worked with a team of doctors to perform a successful operation on both kidneys 15 days ago. Yasmin’s parents are grateful to the hospital and the government for providing free treatment without the need for an Arogyasri card.
Professor Nagarjuna has worked in the Pediatric Surgery Department at Gandhi Hospital for 20 years and at Nilofour Hospital for 17 years. He worked with his fellow doctors to convince Yasmin’s parents that the operation would be successful.
