Union Minister and State BJP chief G Kishan Reddy visited Chengicherla and criticized the government and police for filing false cases against party members and victims of the slaughterhouse mafia attack. He accused the Congress of causing disruptions in Chengicherla for political reasons.

Reddy condemned the house arrest of Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh and the filing of cases against party leaders like Bandi Sanjay Kumar. He questioned why only BJP leaders were facing restrictions while leaders from other parties could visit the victims freely.
