In Kamareddy district, there was a shocking incident where an old man’s last rites were delayed by 36 hours due to a property dispute in Ramareddy mandal. Chintala Krishnavva, a 55-year-old resident of Isannapally village, passed away from illness. She owned a house and 3 acres of agricultural land in the village. Since her husband was sick and they had no children, relatives organized the funeral.

However, when it was time for the last rites to be performed, there was a disagreement among the relatives over the property. Some demanded a share before proceeding with the funeral. One man who tried to intervene was even attacked with a sword and had to be taken to Kamareddy Government Area Hospital for treatment. The police were informed by locals and arrived at the scene to calm the situation.
