The Central Government has appointed four lawyers as additional judges of the Andhra Pradesh High Court. The lawyers are Harinath Nunepally, Kiranmayee Mandava (also known as Kiranmayee Kanaparthy), Sumathi Jagadam, and Nyapathy Vijay. This decision comes after the Supreme Court Collegium recommended their elevation on October 10.

Union Minister of State (independent charge) for Law & Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal announced the appointment on X (formerly Twitter). He stated that the President of India, after consultation with the Chief Justice of India, has appointed these judges/ additional judges in the High Courts.

In addition to these appointments, the Central Government has also transferred AP High Court Justice C Manavendranath Roy to Gujarat and additional judge Duppala Venkata Ramana to Madhya Pradesh. The transfer of these two judges was recommended by the Supreme Court Collegium in August.
