Four teenagers have been arrested by Rayagada police for stealing 35 mobile phones of different brands. The thieves were clever enough to tamper with the CCTV camera before carrying out the crime, which made it challenging for the police to solve the case.
The theft occurred on July 21 at midnight in a mobile shop located at Raithcolony in Rayagada. The stolen mobile phones were valued at Rs 4 lakh. Sub-Inspector Sanjay Chatar initiated an investigation after receiving a complaint and, with the guidance of the Rayagada IIC, managed to apprehend the culprits within two months.
The police have successfully recovered all 35 stolen mobile phones.
