Four people were arrested by the Gopalapuram police in Hyderabad for stealing mobile phones and vehicles. The police found five mobile phones and four bikes in their possession.

The main accused, Steve Jason (19) and a Child in Conflict with Law (CCL), along with Vemula Sai Santhosh (19) and Orsu Ganesh alias Ghani (19) who were receivers, were arrested. Jason had a previous case in Gopalapuram and both him and CCL had dropped out of intermediate school.

The group stole bikes and snatched mobile phones to cover their expenses. They would then sell the stolen mobile phones to Santhosh and Ganesh. On June 25 at 11:30 pm, they snatched a mobile phone from a cab driver who was waiting for a passenger at St Ann’s High School in Secunderabad.
